What artworks would you have/do you have in your drawing room?
For some reason I have many drawings of horses and a horse photograph by Daido Moriyama, a portrait of my son and an eclectic collection of his artworks. A small landscape watercolor by Hilma af Klint, a painting by Norbert Schwontkowski of his tattoo (a peacock),a stone collection in the shape of ears. I would like to have a larger water colour by Hilma af Klint,a plant drawing by Elsworth Kelly,a painting by Ivan Agueli and something by Vija Celmins.
What books would you read/are you reading in your drawing room?
Il Gattopardo by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, writings by Shakespeare, Lolita by Nabakov, L`Étranger by Albert Camus, and off course many Art books, and books about geometry, birds, and plants.
What movies would you watch/are you watching in your drawing room?
I like The Leopard by Luchino Visconti and I would watch anything Italian. Looking at television I am easily trapped by the most stupid films, and I laugh at silly hats etc. Benny Hill, Tommy Cooper style.
What music would you listen to/are you listening to in your drawing room?
Silence, the sound of the light touching the walls. In the seventies I used to be a disco, go-go girl and I still enjoy music from that time.
Who would you/do you invite into your drawing room?
I would invite two cats and plants and anybody who comes by. When I am by myself I will invite deceased artists from the other side for thoughts and advice. They helped me a lot in the past and tell me about their own artwork. It's surprising and refreshing information. When the time is right I will publish these notes.
